Hoshiarpur- Senior journalist Daljit Ajnoha today met SSP Hoshiarpur Sandeep Kumar Malik (IPS) at Manguwal Checkpost located on the Hoshiarpur-Himachal Pradesh border about the anti-drug efforts.
During this, SSP Malik said that the Punjab government is fully committed towards a drug-free Punjab. He said that as per the directions of Honorable DGP Punjab Shri Gaurav Yadav (IPS), Hoshiarpur Police is continuously working to tighten the noose on the movement of drugs through “Operation Seal”.
He said, “This is a regular and focused operation through which the supply line of drugs is completely broken. We are strictly checking all the routes through which drugs can enter Punjab.”
SSP Malik also informed that concrete steps are being taken to stop drug smuggling by establishing alliances with other states at border posts like Mangu.
This meeting highlights the continuous alertness of the Punjab Police and the full sensitivity of the government towards the fight against drugs.
