
MLA Randhawa inaugurates development works in 07 schools of Derabassi constituency

Nagar, May 17, 2025- As part of the ongoing Punjab Education Revolution Campaign in the state, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa today inaugurated infrastructure development works worth Rs. 50 lakh 73 thousand in six government schools of Derabassi constituency, the aim of which is to raise the standard of education by providing modern educational infrastructure facilities to the students in the present era.

Nagar, May 17, 2025- As part of the ongoing Punjab Education Revolution Campaign in the state, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa today inaugurated infrastructure development works worth Rs. 50 lakh 73 thousand in six government schools of Derabassi constituency, the aim of which is to raise the standard of education by providing modern educational infrastructure facilities to the students in the present era.
While interacting with students in various schools under the Punjab Education Revolution campaign, Constituency MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that the students are getting great benefit from the state-of-the-art infrastructure upgraded in schools by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
He said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has brought about a lot of change in the education and health sectors with the aim of making Punjab a colorful state.
Education Coordinator Gurpreet Virk informed that MLA Randhawa inaugurated a smart classroom, boundary wall and other works built at a cost of Rs. 14.10 lakh in the Government Middle and Elementary School in Saidpura village, Ward No. 7 of Derabassi, a boundary wall work done at a cost of Rs. 1.80 lakh in the Government High School in Sundara village, a smart classroom and other works built at a cost of Rs. 12.1 lakh in the Government Primary and High School in Dafarpur village, 2 modern classrooms built at a cost of Rs. 21.12 lakh in the Government Elementary and Middle Smart School in Kakrali village and other works done and handed them over to the children.
During the visit to these schools, Mr. Randhawa informed that the Mann government has recruited new teachers in various schools and the building has been completed from scratch at Kishanpura.
He appealed to the villagers to make the village drug-free, not to misuse water and to plant a tree for each person so that the changes in the environment can be dealt with. He asked the students to stay away from new drugs and pay more attention to studies and sports.
On this occasion, besides the heads of various schools, students and their parents, village Panch-Sarpanch, Committee President, MCs, Block President of the party and the entire team were present.
