
MLA Neena Mittal along with family offered prayers at the ancient Shiv temple
Rajpura 27 February- MLA of the constituency Madam Meena Mittal along with her family today offered prayers at the ancient Shiv temple of Neelas adjacent to Rajpura on the occasion of Shivratri. Former MLA of the constituency Hardayal Singh Kamboj and constituency in-charge from Bharatiya Janata Party Jagdish Kumar Jagga also visited the temple for the betterment of the constituency.

Former MLA of the constituency Hardayal Singh Kamboj and constituency in-charge from Bharatiya Janata Party Jagdish Kumar Jagga also visited the temple for the betterment of the constituency.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, MLA of the constituency Madam Meena Mittal said that The Sirhind Road section has been opened for devotees to reach Nalas temple from Rajpura and the Rajpura-Sirhind overbridge will also be completed in March and handed over to the city residents. MLA Neena Mittal said that the people of the constituency have voted for her as MLA in the historic temple Nalas, so she will leave no stone unturned in the development of the constituency.
He said that it was his dream to make a cut on GT Road to reach Nalash temple, which has been fulfilled today with the blessings of Bhole Nath. He greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Mahashivratri. On this occasion, Mahant Lal Giri Ji Maharaj, while giving information about the history of the temple, said that today a large number of devotees are coming to visit, but due to Mahashivratri being a holy day, the devotees continue to come. They keep coming for 4 days.
It is said about the history of this temple that this temple is five and a half hundred years old and it is believed that Shiv Linga appeared here on its own. According to the history written on the gate of the temple, there is an ancient banyan tree here, which is said to be five and a half hundred years old. A 140 feet high statue of Shiv Bhole Nath is installed in the temple.
Langars were set up for the devotees at various places from Rajpura city to Nalash temple, where devotees were seen eating the langar with devotion. On this occasion, former MLA Hardayal Singh Kamboj was also present with his family and party workers.
On this occasion, all three leaders said that they come to the temple every year to worship at the feet of Lord Bholenath, so that the area can prosper and mutual brotherhood can be maintained.
