Hoshiarpur- A historic initiative is being taken to make Punjab drug free under the 'Yuddh Nasha Ke Viruddh' campaign. In this series, on May 8, Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann and National Convener Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal will start the Nasha Mukti Yatra from village Jalalpur in Tanda. To finalize the preparations in this regard, an important meeting was held today at Sachin Palace in Jalalpur, which was chaired by MLA Jasvir Singh Raja Gill and Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain.

To finalize the preparations in this regard, an important meeting was held today at Sachin Palace in Jalalpur, which was chaired by MLA Jasvir Singh Raja Gill and Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain.
In the meeting, the officers of the concerned departments were instructed to complete the preparations related to the gathering in a timely manner. MLA Jasvir Singh Raja Gill said that this yatra is a part of the commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, under which a resolution has been taken to get the state out of the grip of drugs. He appealed to the general public to participate enthusiastically in this mass movement and reach Jalalpur in maximum numbers on May 8.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal will address the people at Sachin Palace in Jalalpur on May 8 at 11 am. He said that extensive arrangements are being made by the administration to make this historic event a success and guidelines have been issued to all departments regarding security, traffic and other arrangements.
Other administrative and police officers were also present on this occasion.
