SAS Nagar, May 1 - The flag was hoisted at Special Mandal Mohali and Circle Mohali on the occasion of Labour Day. On this occasion, Circle President of PSEB Employees Federation Atak Organization Mr. Mohan Singh Gill and General Secretary of State Committee Mr. Surinderpal Singh Lahoria were specially present.
On this occasion, the speakers said that this day is dedicated to recognizing the contribution of the workers and promoting their rights. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of labour in society and economy.
On this occasion, various leaders also opposed the privatization being done by the management in 2 mandals of Powercom at Kharar and Lalru. The leaders told that at present about 70 percent of the posts of line man and assistant line man are vacant in Powercom. The management is adopting a dang tapau policy instead of regular recruitment.
On this occasion, besides others, General Secretary Mr. Balwinder Kumar, Cashier Ranjit Singh, Jasvir Singh, Harpreet Singh, Madan Thakur, Tuntun Sharma, Pension Union President Mr. Brij Mohan Sharma, Rajinder Sohal and other colleagues were present.
