
SAS Nagar Police seizes huge quantity of drugs and arms from 4 accused during “War on Drugs” campaign
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, April 28: Shri Deepak Pareek IPS Senior Superintendent of Police, District SAS Nagar informed the press today that on the directions of Shri Gaurav Yadav IPS DGP Punjab and Shri Harcharan Singh Bhullar IPS DIG Ropar Range, Ropar, Mohali Police has arrested 04 accused and recovered them from them. 211 grams of heroin, 08 lakh 10 thousand rupees drug money, 02 illegal weapons including .32 bore, 11 cartridges, 05 cartridges 30 bore and 02 vehicles have been successfully recovered.

He further informed the press that on 25-04-2025, Mr. Saurav Jindal PPS. Captain of Police (Investigation) and Mr. Talwinder Singh Gill PPS. Deputy Captain of Police (Investigation) District SAS Nagar, as per the instructions of Insp. Harminder Singh Incharge CIA. Under the supervision of the staff, the CIA team was present near CP-67 Mall Sector-67 Mohali in connection with the search for suspicious men, where the CIA.
The team received information that Satnam Singh alias Nikku son of Darshan Singh resident of Phase-1 Mohali, Suraj Kumar alias Pehalwan son of Ashok Kumar resident of near Pani Wali Tanki, Sohana and Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukh son of Balvir Singh resident of village Guda police station Nakodar, district Jalandhar who have illegal weapons, who are roaming in village Mauli Baidwan police station Sohana area in Swift car no. HR13-L-7069 color white to commit some incident.
Based on the information, a case no. 103 dated 25-04-2025 under section 25-54-59 Arms Act was registered against the above three accused. Which all the three accused were C.I.A. When the team of the Crime Branch arrested the accused from nearby village Mauli Baidwan, a pistol of 32 bore along with 01 extra magazine and 05 live cartridges and 201 grams of heroin were recovered from the accused's car.
After the heroin was recovered, all the three accused were arrested by invoking the crime 21/29-61-85 NDPS Act. During interrogation, the accused Satnam Singh alias Nikku admitted that he brought the consignment of heroin from Suhail son of Mohammad Shabir, resident of House No. 254, Street No. 2, Sai Enclave, Jhampur Balongi.
Taking action on which, the accused Suhail was immediately arrested from his home address in the case. From whom a pistol .32 bore along with 06 cartridges, 05 cartridges .30 bore and Rs. 08 lakh 10 thousand drug money were recovered and 10 grams of heroin were recovered from his black Thar vehicle No. CH01-CQ-3251.
Details of the arrested accused:-
1. Accused Satnam Singh alias Nikku son of Darshan Singh resident near Gurdwara Sahib Phase-1, Police Station Phase-1 Mohali, District SAS Nagar whose age is about 24 years, who has passed 07 classes and is unmarried. Earlier, a case No. 431 dated 17-12-2024 under Section 125, 109, 3(5) BNS 25/27-54-59 Arms Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station City Kharar.
2. Accused Suraj Kumar alias Pehalwan son of Ashok Kumar resident of near Pani Wali Tanki, Sohana, Police Station Sohana, District SAS Nagar whose age is about 22 years. Who has passed 12 classes and is unmarried.
3. Accused Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukh son of Balvir Singh resident of village Guda, Police Station Nakodar, District Jalandhar whose age is about 35 years. Who has passed 09 classes and is unmarried.
4. Accused Suhail son of Mohammad Shabir resident of House No. 254, Street No. 2, Sai Enclave, Village Jhampur, Police Station Balongi, District SAS Nagar whose age is about 33 years. Who has studied B.A. and is married.
The following cases were registered against accused Suhail
They also informed that on 26-04-2025, the CIA team under the supervision of the in-charge CIA staff was present near the bus stand, Kharar, then the CIA team received information that Dharmendra Kumar son of Rakesh Kumar, a resident of village Khurdanwan Pura, district Bareilly, UP, has an illegal weapon. Who is roaming on the road leading to Bhagatghat today to commit an incident.
If he is caught now, then the illegal weapon can be recovered from him. On the basis of the information, case No. 155 dated 26-04-2025 under Section 25-54-59 Arms Act was registered against the said accused at Police Station City Kharar. Taking immediate action, the accused was sent to the CIA. The team of the BSF arrested the accused from Bhagat Ghat Kharar nearby and during the search of the accused, 01 illegal country-made pistol .315 bore along with 02 cartridges were recovered from him.
Details of interrogation of the accused:-
Accused Dharmendra Kumar son of Rakesh Kumar resident of village Khurdanwan Pura, Police Station Sarauli, District Bareilly, U.P. Currently resident of Hotel G-Plaza Zirakpur, Police Station Zirakpur, District SAS Nagar whose age is around 19 years, who is illiterate and unmarried.
The accused is under police remand. The accused is being interrogated as to where he had brought this illegal weapon and for what purpose.
He also informed that on 14-04-2025, on the basis of the statements of Mandeep Singh son of Gurdev Singh, resident of House No. 86 Chakeria Road, Ward No. 11, Mansa Hall, resident of House No. 478, Sector-78, Sohana, District SAS Nagar, case No. 93 dated 14-04-2025 under Section 326(G) BNS Police Station Sohana was registered against unknown accused, stating that he is residing at House No. 478, Sector-78, Mohali. On 14-04-2025, he had parked his vehicle No. PB31-U-3178, brand Hyundai Verna, color Silver, in front of his house, as usual. The time was around 12:44 AM. But he heard a loud noise from outside the house.
On which he came out of the house and saw that three unknown persons who had petrol bottles in their hands, who poured petrol on his car and set it on fire. After setting his car on fire, the three unknown accused got into a car brand Polo where their fourth accomplice was already sitting in the car and fled from the spot. The plaintiff's car was burnt to ashes on the road.
To trace the above incident, the CIA staff continuously investigated in a technical manner and traced the unknown accused, and the case was traced and the following accused were arrested in the case on 24-04-2025.

2. Accused Chandan alias Chanchal son of Bija resident of House No. 32 Ward No. 11 Bengala Basti Mundi Kharar, District SAS Nagar whose age is about 19 years, who is illiterate and unmarried. (Accused Ashu and Chandan were arrested from Park Mundi Kharar of Bengala Basti)
3. Kapil son of Jaswinder Singh resident of village Paprala, Police Station Guhla Chika, District Kaithal, Haryana, resident of a tenant near Gugga Mardi, Mundi Kharar, District SAS Nagar. (Arrest pending)
4. Kirpal Singh alias Pala son of Lala resident of near Government School village Jhanjeri, police station Sadar Kharar Hall resident of House No. 980 Ward No. 4 Chhajju Majra Colony, Sector-05 Kharar, District SAS Nagar. (Arrest pending)
Details of interrogation of the accused:-
The interrogation of the accused revealed that both the arrested accused are idle and they are friends of accused Kapil and Kirpal alias Pala. Who told on interrogation that accused Kapil's maternal aunt's son Gurdhyan Singh who is living abroad in Canada. Whose plaintiff was in a money transaction with the case.
The arrested accused had conspired with each other to commit the said incident on the orders of accused Kapil. While committing the crime, the accused had put fake number PB65-AT-8252 on the Polo car. The accused Kapil and Kirpal alias Pala are absconding from the house. They will be arrested soon. The accused have been sent to Ropar jail in judicial custody.
