Garhshanker, April 8 - NRIs Harbhajan Singh and Charanjit Singh distributed school bags, stationery and diaries to school children during a simple function at Government Senior Secondary School Pakhowal. The NRI family also provided financial assistance to the school.
The school teachers also distributed diaries to other students. Speaking on the occasion, the NRIs motivated the children and teachers to work harder. On the occasion, Principal Jagdish Kaur and Ma Raj Kumar welcomed the guests and thanked the NRIs and village dignitaries for their support to the school and mentioned the achievements of the school.
Among others present on the occasion were Lecturer Manmohan Singh, Ma Raj Kumar, Jaswinder Singh, Davinder Kumar, Gurminder Singh, Balwinder Singh, Madam Jatinder Kaur, Baljit Kaur, Seema Ma. Harvinder Singh, Campus Manager Subedar Balwant Singh Dadiyal and former Sarpanch Balveer Singh were present. Students presented creative songs and music.
