It can be easily treated with timely medical advice. All that is needed is to take necessary precautions, be alert and get timely treatment.

How does scrub typhus spread-
Scrub typhus is a disease that spreads during the rainy season. It spreads due to the bite of fleas infected with the dangerous bacterium Rickettsia, which thrives on rats living in fields, bushes and grass. This bacterium enters the body through the skin and causes scrub typhus fever. It does not spread from one person to another.

If you see these symptoms, go to the doctor immediately-

Verma, while giving information about the symptoms of scrub typhus, says that if a person has a high fever of 104 to 105 degrees with severe pain and shivering in the joints and feels tired and stiffness in the body, then medical examination should be done immediately. 
In case of severe infection, symptoms like lumps on the neck, under the arms, above the hips can also be a sign of scrub typhus attack, in case of any such symptoms, get tested immediately at the nearest health center. Apart from this, no matter what kind of fever it is, immediately seek medical advice.

Keep the house and surroundings clean-
As a precaution, keep the house and surroundings clean during the rainy season, do not let grass and bushes grow. Do not let water accumulate. Spray insecticides inside, outside and around the house. Take care of body hygiene. While working in the fields, keep your body covered, especially hands, legs and feet.
