It is possible to quit drug addiction, proper treatment and arrangements in de-addiction and rehabilitation center: Deputy Commissioner.

Hoshiarpur- Under the 'War against Drugs' campaign launched by the Punjab Government, today Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain appealed to the people and said that for the rehabilitation of people trapped in drug addiction, by cooperating with the civil and police administration, these people can be motivated to live a healthy life by getting rid of addiction with the help of the District De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center.

Talking about the efforts being made by the district administration, the Deputy Commissioner said that it is possible to get rid of drug addiction, for which the help of the District De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center can be taken. He said that many services are being provided by the center to the people suffering from drug addiction, which include free treatment, counseling, vocational activities, yoga, exercise, sports, gym, comfortable and healthy environment.
He said that various experts in the center provide services in a very effective manner for the de-addiction and rehabilitation of these people, by taking advantage of which they can definitely quit addiction. Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that for the treatment of people suffering from drug addiction, OOAT (OOAT Clinics) are running at different places in the district, where specialist doctors check up on patients daily and motivate them to get rid of addiction.
She said that for information about these OOAT clinics, a 24X7 helpline number 85580-01882 is running, through which patients can get information about their nearest OOAT clinic. She said that along with providing free treatment to the patients by the Punjab Government, all their information is kept confidential. She appealed to the people that if anyone gets information about such a person, then with the help of the district administration, he can get him admitted to the de-addiction and rehabilitation center.
