S.A.S. Nagar, June 28: A preliminary conference regarding the establishment of Progressive Front Punjab was held at Phase 10, Mohali, in which prominent personalities belonging to various fields participated in large numbers and presented their views.
Addressing the conference, Advocate Darshan Singh Dhaliwal, President of the newly formed organization Progressive Front Punjab, explained in detail about the objectives and working style of the organization. He said that the Front will listen to the problems of the suffering people of every section of the society and will mobilize for their solution.
Mr. Dhaliwal, while referring to the individuals and political parties involved in drug addiction and corruption in Punjab, said that there is a nexus of politicians and bureaucrats in the society who are looting the people together. He said that in the coming time, Progressive Front Punjab will run a massive membership campaign and units of the Front will also be formed all over Punjab.
He said that a movement will be launched by mobilizing the people to find solutions to the problems being faced by the people in Punjab.
Addressing on the occasion, State President of the Front Harminder Singh Mavi said that he has a long experience of working in organizations. Based on this experience, he will prepare a common platform for their respective problems by bringing together people from different sections involved in the Front, prepare a framework of the struggle, and visit different areas of Punjab to make people aware about the manifesto of Progressive Front Punjab and prepare them for the struggle.
The responsibility of the stage secretary in the function was performed by Front General Secretary Mahinder Singh Manoli Surat (Retired Inspector). He informed that retired officers and employees from various departments and leaders of their organizations also participated in today's function.
A charter of 25 demands was also prepared by the Front during the function, Ascendancy, which mentions the problems related to various sections of Mohali region and Punjab. The leaders said that the Front will present the demand charter before the government in future and make efforts to solve them.
In the conference, among others, Paramdeep Singh Baidwan, Kirpal Singh Siau, Nachattar Singh Baidwan, Gyan Singh Dhadak (all farmer leaders), lyricist Bhutti Bhadi Wala, Dr. Jaspal Singh Lakhnaur, Ravinder Singh Vice President Sahajdhari Sikh Party, Avtar Singh Gill former Principal, Om Prakash Builder, Jaspal Singh Sohana etc also presented their views.
It is noteworthy that an organisation called Aam Aadmi Ghar Bachao Morcha was already working under the leadership of leaders belonging to the Front, which was dissolved today and a new organisation called Progressive Front Punjab was formed.
On this occasion, the list of 15-member executive team of the Front was also presented which included Vice Presidents Narinder Singh Jolly, Rana Sohan Singh Machhli Kalan, Paramjit Singh Sawada, Legal Advisor Advocate Amarjit Singh Longia, Advisor Rajnish Khanna Kharar, Joint Secretaries Balwinder Kaur Singh and Dr. Karnail Singh Mavi, Social Media Incharge Sonu Ashad Nadiali, Treasurer Advocate Rohit Banur, and Executive Members Paramjit Singh Malakpur, Sikander Singh Banur, and Kamal Hussain Alampur.
In the end, President of the Front Advocate Darshan Singh Dhaliwal thanked the dignitaries present.
