
Workshop on Spruti Yojana held in Una.
Una, June 13- As part of the efforts being made by the Himachal Pradesh government to make traditional artisans economically strong and self-reliant, a one-day workshop on Spruti Yojana was organized in the meeting room of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) in Una on Friday. More than 60 traditional artisans, including Pradhan, Deputy Pradhan and local representatives of various Panchayats participated in the workshop.

Project Officer of District Rural Development Agency Una K.L. Verma, Chief Executive Officer of Swan Mahila Federation Dr. R.K. Dogra, Ajay Kumar and Snehlata of Jagriti Foundation, program organizer Shaurya, Resource Person Akshay Singh and Manager Akhil from District Industries Center Una had a special contribution in the successful organization of this workshop.
During the workshop, Master Trainer Vivek presented detailed information about Spruti Yojana. This scheme is being run in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and NABARD Consultancy Services (NABCONS). Its objective is to organize traditional artisans and rural industries into groups and provide them technical support, design innovation, marketing, branding, training, infrastructure and access to the market, so that their income can be increased and they can survive in global competition.
Let us tell you, under the SFURTI (Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries) scheme, traditional sectors like Khadi, Village Industries, Coconut Fiber Industry are being revived and empowered. The main objective of the scheme is to group rural artisans and provide them permanent employment, modern training and necessary resources, so that they can take their skills in an economically beneficial direction.
