Patiala, February 13- Under the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, a flower and food festival was organized at Barandari Bagh, Patiala. On this occasion, various types of flower exhibitions and stalls of street food and delicious dishes were set up. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner of Patiala Dr. Preeti Yadav attended as the chief guest.
A large number of Patiala residents participated in this heritage fair. The Deputy Commissioner said that the main objective of organizing this heritage fair by the district administration is to inspire Patiala residents to eat clean and nutritious food. He said that by participating in such festivals, we get an opportunity to connect with our heritage. The Deputy Commissioner said that the main objective of this show is to inspire the common people towards flower cultivation.
He ordered the officers of the Horticulture Department to enhance the beauty of Barandari Bagh, keep it clean, ensure safety of swings for children and open gyms, fountains and improve the maintenance of the garden. Deputy Director of Horticulture Department Harinderpal Singh said that during this flower exhibition, competitions were held for cut flowers, pots, cactus and bonsai etc. He said that 20 food stalls and 25 organic stalls and an exhibition of two thousand flowers have been set up in the fair. He said that the fair's nodal officer cum SDM Nabha Dr. Ismit Vijay Singh also distributed prizes to 30 winning candidates. Additional Deputy Commissioner Isha Singal, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Rajat Oberoi, all SDMs and officers of various departments were present on this occasion.
