Hoshiarpur- Regional Transport Officer Ravinder Singh Gill said that under the National Road Safety Week 2025, several important steps have been taken to promote road safety and prevent accidents in the district. He said that blinker lights have been installed on dividers to prevent accidents during fog season, so that vehicles can get clear direction in night and fog. 
Apart from this, reflector strips have been installed on the trees along the roads, so that the road condition can be clearly seen in night and fog. He said that solar blinker lights have been installed at T-points and intersections, which will be helpful in preventing accidents in low visibility areas.
The Regional Transport Officer said that to increase road safety awareness, information was given to two-wheeler drivers about the need and importance of helmets and free helmets were distributed. He appealed to the people to ensure that they follow traffic rules at all times.
