The construction of the bypass road (Nangal Shaheed-Bilaspur) on the outskirts of Hoshiarpur is causing environmental damage by uprooting mango trees on large areas.
Hoshiarpur- In fact, natural resources play an important role in making man and his future prosperous and even more so do trees. Governments are not ready to learn anything from the continuous decline in the environment. Construction of roads by destroying trees; is extremely bad.
Hoshiarpur- In fact, natural resources play an important role in making man and his future prosperous and even more so do trees. Governments are not ready to learn anything from the continuous decline in the environment. Construction of roads by destroying trees; is extremely bad.
On the construction of the bypass being built on the outskirts of Hoshiarpur Nangal Shaheed and Bilaspur; cutting of indigenous mango trees in Badi and demolition of schools, etc., Labor Party President Jai Gopal Dhiman and Party Vice President Sonu strongly condemned the strong words and said that it takes years to nurture trees and it takes only 10 minutes to cut them.
But not understanding their contribution to human life is the biggest mistake. He said that at least 20 to 30 mango trees of indigenous mangoes have been uprooted and are coming within the limits of the bypass at Bilaspur Government Elementary School. Although the government has purchased the land and paid the farmers their price. But due to government mistakes, thousands of trees have been cut down and thousands more are going to fall victim to government whims. Although permission is given to cut them down, it is completely wrong. Dhiman said that all this is the result of government selfishness and unplanned policies. He said that illegal encroachments can be seen on previously constructed roads and highways. When good officers remove these illegal encroachments, fake patriots interfere and instruct the officers not to do good work. Thousands more trees will be cut down till Una bypass.
The sustainability of human life and natural resources depends solely on the existence of trees. Dhiman said that the government is deliberately encouraging the policy of issuing by-passes instead of removing illegal encroachments on roads and this is an illegal reaction in itself. Doing so is tantamount to deliberate misuse of government money.
The highways built earlier are neither safe nor is there any safety on the roads of the villages. He demanded from the government that trees could have been planted in 4 times the number before being cut. This road was not even passed in 1 day. Whereas according to the rules, trees should have been planted before being cut. Government negligence is fully responsible for the destruction of the environment. The common people and farmers of Punjab are paying the price for not caring about the trees. If the government wanted, it could have first demarcated the road and planted trees and then ordered them to be cut, so that the damage that would have been caused by cutting the trees could have been avoided. Dhiman demanded from the government that the government should install information boards at the Mini Secretariat and key places for the construction of this road and tell how many trees it has cut and how many more have been planted and how much is the total cost.
