SAS Nagar, May 10- A special meeting of all Numberdars of District Mohali was held at Bhagat Asa Ram Ji Samadhi Sthal. Various issues were discussed in the meeting. Concern was expressed in the meeting over the “show cause notices” issued to 10 Numberdars by the DC office recently.
The Numberdars demanded that a separate room be set up for them in government tehsil offices so that they can perform their duties smoothly. Besides this, the Numberdars demanded abolition of parking charges of Numberdars, increase in their honorarium, and removal of obstacles in the work in tehsil offices. A resolution was passed in the meeting that the above issues will be brought to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner and resolved.
On this occasion Harvinder Singh, Avtar Singh, Bahadur Singh, Major Singh, Harpal Singh, Nachattar Singh, Kesar Singh, Surmukh Singh, Karamjit Singh, Daljinder Singh, Harinder Singh, Garvinder Singh, Jagtar Singh, Karamjit Singh, Santokh Singh, Dalveer Singh and a large number of numberdars were present.
