
Constitution Day celebrated by District Legal Services Authority
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, November 26: Constitution Day was celebrated by the District Legal Services Authority today under the guidance of Mr. Atul Kasana, District and Sessions Judge, SAS Nagar.

The District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar organized 109 awareness programs through the Legal Literacy Clubs established in schools. In which the recitation of the Preamble of the Constitution, the rights and duties given to the citizens by the Constitution were propagated and painting, declamation and slogan making competitions were organized.
Giving information, Mrs. Surbhi Parashar, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar said that on the occasion of Constitution Day, a state-level awareness program was organized at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri today.
In which Mr. Manjinder Singh, Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority participated. And informed the teachers, staff members and law students about the various provisions enshrined in the Constitution and stressed that they should use their knowledge to make the common people aware about the rights and duties enshrined in the Constitution. Addressing the students on behalf of Mr. Krishan Kumar Singla, Additional Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, he said that Constitution Day is celebrated every year on 26th November to mark the adoption of the Constitution of India. On this day in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution, which came into force on 26th January, 1950.
