Hoshiarpur - Additional Deputy Commissioner (J)-cum-Additional District Election Officer Hoshiarpur Rahul Chaba today held a meeting with the representatives of various political parties regarding the special revision program of voter lists based on the eligibility date of 1 January 2025. The Additional District Election Officer said that according to the Cursory Improvement Program, after the draft publication of the lists is done on October 29, claims and objections can be filed in this regard till November 28, 2024.

He said that sweep activities will be conducted from October 29 to November 28, 2024 to meet the targets for improvement. He said that a special campaign will be conducted on 9th and 10th November and 23rd and 24th November during Sarsari Sudhai. Similarly, disposal of claims and objections will be done from 29 October to 24 December 2024 and final publication of electoral rolls will be on 6 January 2025.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that on special campaign days November 9 and 10 and November 23 and 24, BLOs will sit at their respective polling stations from 9 am to 5 pm and receive claims and objections from eligible persons. . He said that the representatives of the political parties should appoint their polling agents to assist the booth level officers at the polling booths.
He said that persons who have reached the age of 18 years or more on 1 January 2025 can fill up Form No. 6 to register their name in the electoral roll. Form No. 7 can be filled for Objection or Deduction/Correction of name in Voter List while Form No. 8 for Duplicate Voter Card can be filled in the office of Booth Level Officer/Assistant Election Registration Officer or Voter Helpline App or NVS .P. Online application can be done through the portal.
