Inspection of government schools by Preeti Chawla, Member of Punjab State Food Commission

Patiala, October 23 - Punjab State Food Commission member Preeti Chawla inspected mid-day meals at government schools and Anganwadi centers in Patiala district. Meanwhile, Preeti Chawla visited government primary and high school village Dhaksansu Kalan, government primary school NTC 2 Rajpura, Anganwadi center Dhaksansu Kalan including government primary school village Pahir.

Patiala, October 23 - Punjab State Food Commission member Preeti Chawla inspected mid-day meals at government schools and Anganwadi centers in Patiala district. Meanwhile, Preeti Chawla visited government primary and high school village Dhaksansu Kalan, government primary school NTC 2 Rajpura, Anganwadi center Dhaksansu Kalan including government primary school village Pahir.
The Food Commission member also interacted with school teachers and children in Anganwadi centers and expressed satisfaction over the matter of food given to children by teachers. He said that drinking water samples should also be tested from time to time. On this occasion, while inspecting the kitchens of the schools, he checked the method of storing the ration, on which he expressed satisfaction. The school staff of Government Primary School village Pehra also made them aware of the problem of bees by visiting a nearby poultry farm.
During his visit, he inspected various schemes running under the National Fertilizer Protection Act, 2013 and also inspected the Anganwadi registers and had mid-day meal prepared for children which was found to be up to standard.
Preeti Chawla gave some important instructions to the Anganwadi workers and supervisors along with the teachers of the school, which assured that further improvements will be made to provide better mid-day meal to the children..
