Chandigarh October 7, 2024- Panjab University’s Institute of Social Science Education and Research (PU-ISSER) today hosted a special lecture on ‘Public Speaking and Networking Skills,’ delivered by Mr Vivek Atray, former IAS officer and renowned mentor.
During the session, Mr. Atray captivated the audience with his insights for mastering the art of public speaking. He emphasised on the importance of speaking with panache and a clear purpose—urging attendees to communicate in a way that touches lives. His talk covered essential skills for effective public speaking, including mastering vocal command, appearance, and body language.
Mr. Atray highlighted the power of voice in creating a "wow factor," and its ability to stir emotions and leave the audience in awe. The lecture was followed by an engaging interactive session, where participants had the opportunity to further explore the finer points of public speaking, followed by the vote of thanks.
Earlier, PU-ISSER Coordinator, Professor Anil Monga extended a warm welcome to Mr Atray and presented a token of appreciation as a gesture of gratitude.
The session was attended by the guest-faculty, research scholars and more than 80 students from the department. The lecture was a resounding success, providing attendees with valuable skills that will help them excel in both personal and professional spheres.
