Prices of garlic and coriander are touching the 'sky'

Shimla- In the capital Shimla, people are avoiding buying garlic and green coriander because their price is Rs 400 per kg. The prices of green coriander, sold at Rs 10-10 per bunch, are also skyrocketing. The price of green coriander has reached Rs 400 per kg.

Green peas have disappeared from the vegetable market and their price was running at Rs 160 to 180 per kg on Saturday. Peas were not available for purchase in the market on Sunday. Today, peas are grown only in Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur districts and due to bad roads due to rain, their consignment could not reach the vegetable market in Shimla. Due to high consumption and short supply of peas, their prices have skyrocketed.
The prices of onion and tomato are also running at Rs 60 per kg in the market, while the prices of some other vegetables have also gone up, due to which these vegetables have disappeared from people's plates. Beans, cabbage and carrot are also priced at Rs 60 per kg, while capsicum and brinjal are priced at Rs 50 per kg.
