At the time of writing, another PCMSA meeting is being held tonight to discuss the next course of action. Association President Dr Akhil Sareen said the government has assured to implement ACP in three months, which is being considered. The association strongly raised the demand for security and timely promotion of ACP during its meeting with the government today. The committee discussed the issue of ACP in detail.
The Cabinet Sub-Committee accepted in principle the demand for restoration of the stalled ACP in the PCMS cadre and gave unconditional consent for its early and timely implementation.
According to Dr. Akhil Sarin, all the discussions took place in a positive and friendly atmosphere. At the end of the meeting, the department assured PCMSA that an official letter will be issued by the government today in which the decision of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on ACP restoration and other important decisions of the meeting will be mentioned with a definite outline.
But as no letter was issued even after the promise of issuing the letter by the government, the association has called for the suspension of OPD for the whole day from tomorrow as per the pre-determined schedule.
