Vancouver, March 15 - A Punjabi youth died due to poisonous gas (carbon monoxide) in a parked car in a garage in Brampton last night. The deceased has been identified as Rupak Singh (25).
Rupak Singh had come to Canada on a study visa from Sirsa a few years ago. According to the information received, he reached his residence late at night and after parking the car in the garage, he called his parents.
To avoid the cold or because he was busy on the phone, he did not turn off the car engine. On the other hand, the conversation on the phone got long and due to the garage gate being closed, the poisonous gas carbon monoxide emanating from the parked car accumulated inside the car. Due to this, Rupak Singh died in the car due to suffocation.
