800 players participated in State Level Games at Guru Nanak Academy Ratia

Ratia, 25 August:- In the State Level Sports Competition organized at Guru Nanak Defence and Sports Academy, Ratia, about 800 players from various districts and educational institutions gave splendid performance in various games including Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Athletics.
On the second day of the competition, Chief Guest Professor Ravinder Singh Baliala, Vice President BJP Haryana, participated, while SDM Ratia Surendra Singh was present as Special Guest. The function was presided over by MD Swarn Singh. The guests honoured the winning players and teams and wished them a bright future.
Academy Director Gurjeet Singh informed that in the results of the competition, Kaithal district won the Overall Championship in Kabaddi. In Kho-Kho, Jind district was the Overall winner, while IDPS School Fatehabad got second position. In Volleyball, Panipat district became Overall Champion, while second position was secured by Guru Nanak Academy Ratia, District Fatehabad. In Athletics 10 km race, Ambala district was the winner, while in 5 km race, Fatehabad district became the winner.
In the prize distribution ceremony, as special guests, Ratia Mandal President Ankit Singla, Shri Arorvansh Mahasabha President Rajpal Grover, Bittu Grover and Haryana Congress General Secretary Titu Gill honoured the players. Apart from this, Apar Insa of Pooja Emporium on behalf of Ashok Madan, Master Kahan Singh, former Sarpanch Palvinder Singh, Block Committee Chairman Kewal Krishan Mehta and Dr. Naib Singh Mander also encouraged the players and honoured them.
The Academy's Managing Director and CEO Gurjeet Singh and Head Coach handled the sports arrangements in a splendid manner. Qualified coaches of various games conducted the competitions in a fair and systematic manner. The entire sports process of the competition was conducted through online medium, in which MD Gurjeet Singh played an important role. Due to the online system, there was no difficulty in conducting the competitions and keeping the results organized.
On this occasion, Principal Jasbir Kaur, Academy President Kashmir Singh, Chairman Swarn Singh, Trustee Malkeet Singh Sandhu, Ramandeep Kaur, Kuldeep Kaur, Kanta Rani and Aman Singh Khadakwal including other dignitaries were present.
Professor Ravi, Professor Anuj Rajasthan, Professor Banwari Lal, Gatka Coach Chand Singh, Kho-Kho Coach Neelam, Kabaddi Coach Kashmiri Lal, Bhajan Coach, Harbansh Coach and Shotput Coach Raghuveer had special contribution in the successful conduct of the competition. Famous litterateur Dr. Naib Singh Mander and Principal Sushil Kumar performed the responsibility of stage management very well.
Academy's MD Swarn Singh said that the objective of such state-level competitions is to provide better sports platform to the players, to develop competitive spirit among them and to provide opportunities to talented players to move forward. He said that in the competition, players showed sportsmanship, discipline and splendid performance.
