4th Biennial Conference on Hernia Kicks Off Today in Chandigarh

Chandigarh: The Young Hernia Society of India Conference Series—a prestigious academic platform in the field of hernia surgery—is set to host its two-day 4th Biennial National Conference, 'Young HSICON 2026,' starting tomorrow here in Chandigarh. This conference is being organized under the aegis of the Hernia Society of India, in collaboration with the Punjab Chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, the Organizing Chairman of the conference, Dr. Anupam Goel, stated that hosting the 4th Biennial Conference in Chandigarh is a matter of pride for them, as they are bringing together some of the finest surgical minds from across the country. He added that this platform serves not merely as a venue for learning, but also as a forum to shape the future of hernia surgery through collaboration, innovation, and shared expertise.
Over 400 leading surgeons are expected to participate in this conference, including 250 regional delegates, 100 national experts, and 75 industry professionals. This gathering stands as one of the most significant conferences in the field of hernia surgery. The event will feature a comprehensive scientific program, comprising master video surgical sessions, panel discussions, research presentations, and deliberations on the latest advancements in laparoscopic and robotic hernia surgery.
