3 new subhealth centres to open in Karnal

Chandigarh, August 26:- The Haryana government has taken a big step towards making medical services in rural areas more robust and accessible. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has given the green signal to the important proposal to open new sub-health centres in three villages of Karnal district and upgrade the primary health centre located at Daulatabad in Gurugram district to a community health centre.
Sharing the details of this decision, the state health minister Aarti Singh Rao said that the state government is constantly striving to provide quality health services to the rural areas. Under this series, the Chief Minister has given in-principle approval to set up one new sub-health centre each in the villages of Chand Samand, Khirajpur and Nalvi Kalan in Karnal district. With the opening of these new centres, the local villagers will be able to easily get first aid and basic health check-up facilities near their homes.
The Health Minister further informed that while expanding the health infrastructure, the government has also approved the upgrade of the Primary Health Centre located in Daulatabad village of Gurugram district to a Community Health Centre. With the upgrade of Daulatabad PHC, the residents of dozens of villages around the area will now be able to get the facilities of specialist doctors, modern testing facilities, better emergency services and more beds, due to which they will not have to travel to distant hospitals in the city for primary treatment of major diseases.
Aarti Singh Rao said that this decision of the state government will prove to be a milestone in strengthening the health service infrastructure in rural areas. With the strengthening of the health infrastructure at the primary and community level, the pressure of patients on district level hospitals will be reduced and the common people will be able to get timely and better treatment in their own area.
