399 Children in Una Benefit from Chief Minister SukhAshray Scheme

Una, September 10:- Under the Chief Minister Sukh-Ashray Scheme, 399 eligible children in Una district have been benefited so far, with more than Rs 4.99 crore spent on them. Meanwhile, during the financial year 2026-27, more than Rs 3.26 crore has been provided to 2,267 beneficiaries under the Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojana, more than Rs 1.03 crore to 335 eligible families under the Chief Minister Shagun Yojana, and more than Rs 1.44 crore to 283 eligible families under the Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana.
This information was provided at the 22nd District-Level Monitoring and Review Meeting held today (Thursday) in the NIC room under the chairmanship of Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal. The meeting reviewed the progress of various social welfare schemes being implemented by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.
District Programme Officer Una Harish Mishra presented the scheme-wise progress.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also discussed the progress of various schemes, including Mission Shakti, One Stop Centre, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana, Chief Minister Shagun Yojana, Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojana, Widow Remarriage Scheme, Mission Vatsalya, Poshan Abhiyan and Chief Minister Sukh-Ashray Awas Yojana.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal directed the officials to ensure that the benefits of the government's welfare schemes reach every eligible person in a timely, transparent and effective manner. He directed them to regularly monitor the implementation of the schemes and ensure their effectiveness at the grassroots level.
He said that the state government is implementing various schemes for the social and economic upliftment of the deprived, weaker and needy sections of society. It is the primary responsibility of the departments to ensure that women, children, orphaned and destitute children, widows and other needy sections receive the benefits of these schemes. The objective of the schemes will be fulfilled only when eligible people receive their benefits without unnecessary delay.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed the officials to resolve the problems of beneficiaries sensitively and on a priority basis.

Directions to Increase Awareness Activities During Poshan Month
The meeting also reviewed the activities being organized in the district under Poshan Month. The Deputy Commissioner said that creating awareness among children, adolescent girls, pregnant women and mothers about the importance of a balanced and nutritious diet is a major objective of the campaign.
He directed the concerned officials to ensure maximum public participation during Poshan Month and to spread the message of nutrition and a healthy lifestyle on a wider scale.
ADC Una Ishant Jaswal, DSP Hemraj Verma, District Programme Officer Harish Mishra, District Child Protection Officer Kamaldeep and officials of the concerned departments were present at the meeting.
