The city is being decorated specially to make the district level Republic Day celebrations more dignified and memorable. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri will be the chief guest of this function to be held in the premises of Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, Una. On this special occasion, Una city will be illuminated with tricolor balloons, glittering garlands and attractive lighting. Tableaux, development exhibition, parade and colorful cultural programs will be the main attractions of the function.

Deputy commissioner reviewed the preparations
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal reviewed the preparations for the function by holding a meeting with the officials on Tuesday. He gave instructions to make the event well organized and grand. The Deputy Commissioner said that Republic Day is not only our national festival but also an opportunity to present a glimpse of our culture, unity and progress. He appealed to all the departments and institutions for active cooperation and instructed that all the department heads should ensure their presence in the program along with their staff. He has also called upon the citizens of the district to participate in the function in large numbers.
Here is the main program description
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Deputy Chief Minister will pay tribute to the martyrs at Shaheed Smarak located at MC Park on January 26 at 10.40 am. After this, at 10.55 am, he will hoist the national flag and inspect the parade in the premises of Government Senior Secondary School Una. He will take the salute of the march past and address the people of the district.
Special decorations and attractive highlights
On this occasion, Una city will be decorated with tricolour decorations, balloons and lights. Special lighting will be done at Mini Secretariat, Rampur Bridge and other important places of the district headquarters. Along with this, special decorations will also be done in industrial complexes.
Colourful presentations will be given by various educational institutions and cultural groups of the district in the function. Apart from this, tableaux based on the schemes of the state government will also be displayed. These will include tableaux based on schemes related to Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana, Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Startup Yojana, health, agriculture and education. A development exhibition will also be organised in the school premises, which will display the achievements and schemes of the departments. Women of self-help groups will also set up stalls of their products. If the weather is bad, the function will be organised in the town hall.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar, Additional Superintendent of Police Surendra Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Varindra Sharma and top officials of various departments were present in the meeting.
