3 March Hoshiarpur- A grand religious function was organized on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri at the ancient Shiva temple, Penjuana. On this occasion, renowned journalist and social worker Dr. Daljit Ajnoha was specially honored for receiving Doctorate in Journalism and for his outstanding contribution.
Sarpanch Raghveer Singh, Numberdar Ramdas Ji, Numberdar Gurbaksh Singh, Numberdar Balwinder Singh, Chief Sewadar Bakshish Singh Kala, Sewadar Aman Sharma and Thanedar Davinder Singh were present during the felicitation ceremony.
On this auspicious occasion, thousands of devotees immersed themselves in the devotion of Lord Shiva and joined in the worship. The temple committee also arranged a grand Bhandare, in which the devotees reverently took Prasad.
The temple management said that a grand function is organized every year on Mahashivratri, in which there is a huge participation of the residents of the area. Dr. Daljit Ajnoha expressed happiness at his honor and said that he will always continue to contribute in the field of journalism and social service.
