Chandigarh, October 15:- The Haryana Yoga Commission is making continuous and effective efforts to promote yoga in the state and help realise the Chief Minister’s vision of a “Yoga-Enriched, Drug-Free Haryana”. As part of this initiative, a special programme is being run to keep employees working at the Haryana Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh physically and mentally healthy.

For the past two years, trained yoga instructors from the Haryana Yoga Commission have been visiting different branches of the Civil Secretariat and conducting daily yoga sessions lasting 15 to 20 minutes for employees.

During these daily sessions, employees practise deep breathing, subtle yogic exercises, pranayama and meditation to help relieve stress, improve mental clarity and increase physical energy. This initiative has led to notable improvements in employees’ work efficiency and daily energy levels.

Dr. Jaideep Arya, Chairman of the Haryana Yoga Commission, said that yoga is not merely physical exercise but a powerful means of promoting a healthy body, a calm mind, positive thinking and a drug-free society. He said that when employees remain stress-free and energetic, public service and administrative work can also be carried out more smoothly and efficiently.

He added that these regular yoga sessions are not only providing mental peace to Secretariat employees during their daily routine but are also strengthening the broader message of a “Yoga-Enriched and Drug-Free Haryana”.
