Hoshiarpur:- Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that the administration is fully active for the smooth functioning of infrastructure in the district, especially roads, traffic lights and other public facilities and the inconvenience faced by the people is being resolved on priority basis. She clarified that the functioning of the concerned departments will now be monitored through regular weekly meetings, through which the problems will be reviewed, resolved and timely progress will be ensured.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that it is the priority of the administration that any kind of basic deficiency in urban and rural areas does not bother the citizens. Necessary instructions have been issued to all the departments in this direction. She said that if any complaint or deficiency comes to her notice from any area, the concerned department will be instructed to take immediate action.
The Deputy Commissioner said that to make this work systematic and result-oriented, Assistant Commissioner (General) Parampreet Singh has been appointed as the nodal officer. He will ensure coordination with all departments regarding deficiencies in roads, traffic lights and other infrastructure in the district. For this, a special Google Sheet portal is being prepared, on which the departments will regularly upload reports of the improved works.
This system will not only increase transparency but will also help in quick resolution of problems. During the review meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur to immediately repair the faulty traffic lights at Naloian Chowk and Salwara Chowk. He directed that under no circumstances should the citizens face any inconvenience and all basic facilities should be made available without any hindrance.
