Kharar- The city of Kharar was completely immersed in devotion today as the under-construction Shri Ram Temple at the historic Maharaja Ajj Sarovar was opened for devotees. The concluding ceremony of the week-long Pran Pratishtha event was held today, during which learned Brahmins performed rituals with Vedic chants, followed by Havan Yagya and recitation of Shri Hanuman Chalisa. A large number of devotees participated in the ceremony.
As the auspicious time of 12:30 PM arrived, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, who was specially present, slowly unveiled the curtain through a remote. As soon as the curtain was lifted, devotees were overwhelmed with joy upon witnessing the mesmerizing idols of Shri Ram Ji, Mata Sita Ji, and Lakshman Ji. The presence of Pawan Putra, the devoted servant of Shri Ram and Sankat Mochan Shri Hanuman Ji, further enhanced the spiritual atmosphere.
This temple is being constructed on the lines of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and similarly attractive idols of the deities have been installed here along with an idol of Maharaja Ajj.
As soon as the curtain was lifted, the temple premises echoed with chants of “Jai Jai Veer Bajrange,” “Har Har Mahadev,” and “Jai Shri Ram,” and it felt as if the entire Kharar was drenched in devotion amid the enthusiasm of the devotees. This was the most emotional and significant moment of the entire ceremony, eagerly awaited by all devotees. As the moment arrived, devotees became deeply emotional, and many were seen with tears of joy and faith.
On this historic and religious occasion, Governor Gulab Chand Kataria performed the auspicious aarti of Lord Shri Ram, expressing his devotion. On this occasion, Rajya Sabha Member Satnam Singh Sandhu, Member of Parliament Malvinder Singh Kang, Additional Solicitor General Satpal Jain, BJP leader Ranjit Singh Gill, Municipal Council President Anju Chandra, Principal Jasveer Chandra, and several other dignitaries were present.
Renowned bhajan singers performed devotional songs praising Lord Shri Ram, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Devotees were seen immersed in devotion through these bhajans. A grand langar (community meal) was also organized for the devotees, where thousands of residents partook in prasad.
Shashi Pal Jain, head of Maharaja Ajj Sarovar Seva Samiti, warmly welcomed all dignitaries and devotees. He stated that this event is not only significant from a religious perspective but also conveys a message of unity, love, and brotherhood in society.
Overall, this Pran Pratishtha ceremony has become a beautiful and memorable chapter in the history of Kharar, instilling a new wave of devotion, faith, and joy in the hearts of its residents.
