Hoshiarpur, July 27:- In the Women's Under-19 Inter-District Cricket Tournament being organized by Punjab Cricket Association, the Hoshiarpur team performed brilliantly and defeated the Mohali team by 6 wickets and scored 4 points.
Giving information in this regard, HDCA Secretary Dr. Raman Ghai said that in this 50-50 overs match, the Hoshiarpur team won the toss and decided to bowl first. In the face of the excellent bowling of Hoshiarpur captain Surbhi and Urshi Thakur, the entire Mohali team was all out for 89 runs in 38.3 overs.
From Mohali, Amyra Aulakh contributed 25, Kashish 24 and Ahanish Kaur 18 runs. For Hoshiarpur, captain Surbhi took 3 wickets for 17 runs, Urshi Thakur took 3 wickets for 12 runs. Apart from this, Vanshika, Dhruvika Seth and Kashvi Rana took 1 wicket each.
Chasing the target of 90 runs for victory, the Hoshiarpur team scored 93 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 41.2 overs and won the match. For Hoshiarpur, Bhumika Sharma played a brilliant innings of 31 runs, while Vanshika scored 14 not out and Manpreet Singh scored 13 not out.
Dr. Raman Ghai congratulated the players on this magnificent victory of the Hoshiarpur team and said that the team will continue its excellent performance in the future as well. He said that the next match of Hoshiarpur will be against the team of Fatehgarh district on July 29 in Hoshiarpur.
