Una, November 17 – Under the Clean City, Prosperous City 2.0 campaign, awareness and resolution camps were organized in 17 wards of the Una Municipal Corporation. Manoj Kumar, Joint Commissioner, Una Municipal Corporation, stated that the primary objective of these camps was to connect citizens with government schemes and online services, resolve their problems on the spot, and promote public participation in cleanliness.
He stated that during the camps, citizens were made aware of cleanliness and hygiene, and complaints received were addressed seriously. People were informed about the separation of wet, dry, and hazardous waste, their scientific disposal, and the adoption of sanitation at the household level.
The camps also provided detailed guidance on the eligibility criteria for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 and the application process available on the Unified Web Portal. The process for filing complaints through the Citizen Service Portal was also explained. Through this campaign, citizens can lodge complaints regarding issues such as malfunctioning streetlights, garbage collection, illegal construction, illegal parking, property tax assessment, road and drain cleanliness, public toilet facilities, dead animal disposal, and open defecation.
The Joint Commissioner stated that the Una Municipal Corporation has established a "Solution Cell" in the office, through which citizens can have their complaints resolved promptly, transparently, and effectively. Grievance redressal forms were also distributed at the camps, and many complaints were resolved on the spot.
These camps were organized by three Municipal Corporation teams: Social Development Specialist Manoj Kaushik, City Mission Manager Sushil Gupta, Abhishek Pathania, Civil Engineer Aditya Pathak, Urban Planner Anju, Community Manager Babli, Sanitation Supervisor Vijay Kumar, District Coordinator Munish Jassal, Volunteer Rajwinder Kaur, Secretaries of Panchayats affiliated with the Municipal Corporation, public representatives, and local citizens.
