Una, December 12- The Una District Administration has declared no parking and no vending zones in the Nagar Panchayat Gagret and Nagar Panchayat Daulatpur Chowk, under the Gagret Sub-Division, to improve traffic flow.
Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal issued orders regarding the use, parking, and parking of vehicles under Sections 115 and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. He stated that this decision was taken in light of illegal parking on public roads, uncontrolled vending, and the resulting traffic obstructions.
The primary objective of these orders is to ensure smooth traffic flow in the area, public safety, and the protection of the interests of local farmers and vendors, ensuring safe, orderly, and organized transportation for all. According to the orders, a stretch of approximately 700 meters from the Gagret Bus Stand to the Army Ground on the Hoshiarpur-Gagret-Mubarikpur Road has been designated a no-parking and no-vending zone. Buses will use the bus stoppage points located at the Gagret Bus Stand and in front of the Army Ground, Gagret, for boarding and disembarking passengers. Only one bus is permitted to stop at the Army Ground, Gagret, for a period not exceeding 5 minutes at a time.
On the Daulatpur-Gagret-Una Road, a stretch of approximately 400 meters from the Himalayan Medical Store to the KCC Bank branch, Gagret, on both sides of the road, is prohibited for parking and vending. 
Buses will use the designated stoppage points located in front of the Himalayan Medical Store near CHC Gagret and in front of the KCC Bank, Gagret, for boarding and disembarking passengers. Only one bus is permitted to stop at the stoppage point at a time, for a period not exceeding 5 minutes.

**Restrictions on the Movement of Heavy Vehicles in Gagret Market
The Deputy Commissioner stated that for smooth traffic flow, the entry of heavy goods vehicles into Gagret Market will be restricted. He stated that goods vehicles coming from Hoshiarpur to Una will reach Una via the Ashapuri-Gagret Chowk-Shivwadi Chowk-Bypass-Police Station Gagret Kaloh Road. Goods vehicles going from Hoshiarpur to Daulatpur Chowk will reach their destination via the Ashapuri-Gagret Chowk-Daulatpur Chowk route. Heavy vehicles going from Daulatpur Chowk to Una will reach Una via the Ambota-Bypass Road-Shivwadi Chowk-Industrial Area-Police Station Gagret Kaloh. Furthermore, heavy vehicles going from Una to Daulatpur Chowk will reach Daulatpur Chowk via the Kaloh-Bypass Road-Police Station Gagret-Shivwadi Chowk-Ambota route.

**These will be the parking areas.
He informed that parking zones have been created for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles entering the Gagret market. Free parking will be available at the Army Ground, Gagret, near the SDM office. Paid parking will be available at the Nagar Panchayat Parking-I along Rest House Road, Gagret, and at the Nagar Panchayat Parking-II at the bus stand. Additionally, animal husbandry parking will be completely free near Ward No. 5 Block Quarters (opposite Sohan Sweets).

**No Parking and No Vending Zones have also been designated at the Nagar Panchayat Daulatpur Chowk.
Jatin Lal informed that an area of approximately 1 kilometer from the Daulatpur Bus Stand to Dholwaha Chowk on the Mubarakpur-Daulatpur Chowk-Talwada Road has been designated as a no parking and no vending zone. Additionally, buses will use designated stop points at the Daulatpur Chowk Bus Stand and Dholwaha Chowk to pick up and drop off passengers. Additionally, only one bus is permitted to stop at Dholwaha Chowk to pick up and drop off passengers.

**These parking spaces will be available at Daulatpur Chowk
Parking spaces have been designated for two-wheeler and four-wheeler passengers visiting the Daulatpur Chowk market. These include the Nagar Panchayat Parking I at the Daulatpur Chowk bus stand and the Nagar Panchayat Parking II at Ward No. 1 Dholwaha Chowk. Parking at both these parking spaces will be completely free.
