Garhshankar:- On the occasion of the 649th holy Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji, the state-level celebrations began at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib today with the inauguration of Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji. This grand event will continue till February 6 and the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji will be offered on the same day. On the last day of the event, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will bow down at the feet of the Guru and pray for the happiness, prosperity and brotherhood of the state.
Today, Cabinet Ministers Harpal Singh Cheema, Tarunpreet Singh Saund, Harjot Singh Bains, Dr. Apart from Ravjot Singh and Lal Chand Kataruchak, Deputy Speaker, Chairman SC Commission Jasvir Singh Garhi, MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar, Advisor to the Culture and Tourism Department Deepak Bali and other dignitaries paid homage at the feet of Guru Ji. Talking to reporters after paying homage at the feet of Guru Ji, Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that the 650th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji will be celebrated on a historic and grand scale in the year 2027. The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has started a series of year-long celebrations from February 4 on the occasion of the 649th Parkash Purb. He said that the great teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji give a message of social harmony, equality, brotherhood and humanity, which is the priority of the government to reach every person. Deputy Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha said that Sri Khuralgarh Sahib has great historical and spiritual importance and the events held here play an important role in strengthening social unity.
He said that the life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj give the message of equality, brotherhood, love and human welfare to the society. He said that this state-level event to be held in Khuralgarh Sahib will become a powerful medium to further strengthen social harmony. Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saund said that Sri Khuralgarh Sahib is a great center of faith not only for the devotees of Punjab but also for the entire country.
The teachings of Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji strengthen the spirit of equality, love and service in the society. Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that the life of Guru Ravidas Maharaj is a symbol of struggle, penance and human welfare. His teachings inspire the society to follow the right path. Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh said that Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji gave the society a message to rise above caste, discrimination and class and serve humanity. Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak said that the Punjab government is committed to providing harmony, brotherhood and equal opportunities in the society as per the teachings of Guru Ravidass Ji.
On this occasion, Chairman Punjab SC Commission Dr. Jasvir Singh Garhi said that the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji are a strong inspiration for social justice, equality and human welfare. Guru Ji gave the message of ending discrimination, class and inequality prevalent in the society through his life and teachings. MLA Chabbewal Dr. Ishank Kumar Chabbewal said that this state-level gathering organized on the holy land of Sri Khuralgarh Sahib is a center of spiritual energy for the congregation. The teachings of Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji inspire us to follow the path of truth, compassion, service, and dedication.
