Dirba, September 13, 2026:- With the objective of connecting people with self-employment and allied occupations, a three-day free training programme on goat farming is being organised for interested persons belonging to Dirba Sub-Division from September 15 to 17, 2026, at the SDM Office, Dirba. Under the training programme prepared by the Animal Husbandry Department, experts will provide information on various practical and technical aspects of goat farming.
SDM Dirba Shri Tarsem Chand Bhagsar said that the main objective of the training is to encourage the maximum number of interested persons of Dirba Sub-Division to generate additional sources of income by providing them practical knowledge of a beneficial allied occupation such as goat farming. He said that this training could prove beneficial for youth, farmers and other persons who wish to start their own work.
He said that the minimum educational qualification required to participate in the training is matriculation? Interested applicants must bring the required documents, including their Aadhaar Card, Voter Card and four passport-size photographs. The training is only for applicants belonging to Dirba Sub-Division.
During the training programme, experts will share information on various important topics related to successful goat farming, including breeds of goats, selection, feeding and nutrition on September 15; housing, farming infrastructure and diseases on September 16; and breeding, reproductive management, vaccination and deworming on September 17.
Tarsem Chand Bhagsar appealed to eligible and interested persons of Dirba Sub-Division to make maximum use of this opportunity. He said that an allied occupation started with proper training can open the way for self-employment and also become a means of strengthening family income.
