Hoshiarpur: The Prakash Diwas of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji was celebrated with great devotion and love at Gurdwara Shaheed Singha, located on Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji Marg, Dashmesh Nagar, Hoshiarpur, under the patronage of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and the supervision of Sant Baba Ranjit Singh and Bibi Sandeep Kaur, the chief sewadars (caretakers). Thousands of devotees paid their respects to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and received blessings from the Guru.
On this occasion, Sant Baba Avtar Singh Ji Sur Singh Wale, Sant Baba Manmohan Singh Baran Wale, Sant Baba Sewa Singh Ji Rampur Khede Wale, Sant Baba Jaspal Singh Ji Khude Wale, Sant Baba Balraj Singh Ji Jiyan Wale, Sant Baba Harkishan Singh Sodhi, Sant Baba Janat Singh Ji Jabbar Wale, Sant Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, Sardar Bhagwan Singh Johal, Sant Baba Sarup Singh Ji Chandigarh Wale, Sant Baba Ravinder Singh Ji Joni, Sant Baba Gulab Singh Ji Chamkaur Sahib Wale, Sant Baba Roshan Singh Ji, Sant Baba Joga Singh Ji Babe Bakale Wale, Bhai Yograj Singh, a film actor, Sant Harpreet Singh Sherpur Khas Wale, Sant Parminder Singh Ji Dagana, Bibi Daler Kaur Khalsa Dhadi Jatha, Sant Surjit Singh Ji Nanaksar Wale, Bhai Gurpreet Singh Ji Landra Dhadi Jatha, Bhai Gagandeep Singh Ji Ganga Nagar Wale, Shri Anmol Kabatra, a social worker from Ludhiana, Shri Barjinder Singh Parwana, Sardar Hardev Singh Kaushal, Sardar Harjit Singh Matharu, Sardar Bahadur Singh Sanet, Principal Baljit Singh Ji, Inspector Subhash Bhagat, Dr. Inshaq, Shri Brahm Shankar Jimpa, Shri Sunder Sham Arora, and Sardar Harbans Singh Bulina, along with various Kirtani Jathas (groups performing devotional hymns) and other personalities, connected the congregation with Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. On this occasion, 20 people partook in Amrit Sanchar (Sikh baptism ceremony). Sant Baba Ranjit Singh Ji thanked the assembled congregation and the revered personalities present. He said that this place is the cornerstone of Sikhism, where only the teachings of Sikhism are propagated. All the devotees are connected with Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. During this time, the Guru's langar (community kitchen) was served continuously. On this occasion, SGPC President Sardar Harjinder Singh Dhami was also specially present.
