Patiala: Today, January 26, 2026, the Uttarakhand Sabha Patiala and the Uttaranchali Cultural Welfare Society (Regd.) Patiala jointly celebrated India's 77th Republic Day with great pomp and show at the Uttarakhand Dharamshala Bhavan, Ekta Nagar B, Patiala. On this auspicious occasion, the national tricolor flag was hoisted by the Chairman of the Uttarakhand Sabha, Shri Kailash Purohit.
In his message, the Chairman said that this day is celebrated every year on November 26th to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India, which was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on November 26, 1949, and came into effect on January 26, 1950. Therefore, we all celebrate this day as Republic Day. We, as citizens, should cherish our Constitution. We should abide by the rules enshrined in it.
On this occasion, the national anthem was sung by the children, after which sweets were distributed, and the chief guests shared their thoughts.
