Phagwara: To mark the occasion of the country's 80th Independence anniversary, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a massive 'Tiranga Rally' in Phagwara today, led by former Union Minister Shri Som Parkash. A large number of party workers and office-bearers participated in the rally.
In his address, former Union Minister Som Parkash stated that the Tricolour symbolizes the nation's unity, integrity, and glory. He expressed pride in being Indian, noting that people of all faiths live together in harmony in the country.
Social activist Anita Som Parkash remarked that the objective of this 'Tiranga Yatra' is to inspire the younger generation and transform India into an ideal nation, thereby fulfilling the resolve of the bravehearts who sacrificed their lives for the country.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP Phagwara constituency in-charge Rajiv Pahwa paid heartfelt tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for independence, acknowledging that it is because of them that we enjoy freedom in our country today.
Prominent figures from the industrial sector, representing Laghu Udyog Bharati Phagwara, also participated in the 'Tiranga Yatra', adding to the event's significance.
Dignitaries present on the occasion included former Mayor Arun Khosla, Pankaj Chawla, Paramjit Singh Chachoki, Gagan Soni, Sonu Rawalpindi, Sahil Chopra, Kishan Bajaj, Jeeta Pandwa, Councilor Beera Ram Valjot, Satish Prabhakar, Inderpal Khurana, Ashok Sethi, Ashok Gupta, Pankaj Gautam, Satish Jain, and Inderjit Karwal. Other leaders and workers present included: Rajesh Palta, Vipan Kumar Sharma, Nitin Chadha, Jugnu Pandit, Rajinder Sondhi, Shiv Handa, Arun Malhotra, Kewal Krishan Sharma, Ranjit Pabla, Chandresh Kaul, Pawan (Basant Nagar), Charanjit Gobindpura, Kulwinder Gobindpura, Jatinder Onkar Nagar, Satinder Onkar Nagar, Vikram Kaul, Vishal Walia, Mahinder Pal Dharmashoth, Happy Borkar, Mahinder Pal Kainth, Jimmy Bhullrai, and Charanjit Walia.
