Derabassi, September 1:- The second phase of the ‘Mukham Mantri Tirath Sthan Yatra Yojana’, being run by the Punjab government to take people to visit the major religious and pilgrimage sites of the country, started from Derabassi constituency today. On this occasion, the constituency MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa met the devotees and sent them by bus for the holy darshan of Shri Khatu Shyam Ji and Salasar Balaji Ji.
On this occasion, there was an atmosphere of great enthusiasm and happiness among the devotees. The devotees thanked the government for this facility being provided to them by the Punjab government for visiting religious sites and appreciated the scheme.
MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, is continuously promoting the ‘Mukh Mantri Tirath Sthan Yatra Yojana’ while respecting the religious sentiments of the people. He said that the aim of this scheme is to provide an opportunity to the people of different sections of the state to visit the major religious places of the country.
He said that the government is continuously making efforts to provide convenient and smooth travel to the devotees for religious pilgrimages. He said that soon from Derabassi constituency, devotees will also be sent to the holy religious places of Haridwar-Rishikesh and Mathura-Vrindavan by buses.
MLA Randhawa extended his best wishes to the entire Sangat who had left for the darshan of Shri Khatu Shyam Ji and Salasar Balaji Ji and said that Baba Shyam and Balaji Maharaj should keep their grace on everyone and fulfill the wishes of every devotee.
He said that the second phase of this yatra starting from Derabassi constituency is a matter of pride for the area and such efforts will continue in future keeping in mind the religious and social needs of the people. On this occasion, Municipal Council President Ashu Upneja, Naresh Upneja along with other party leaders, workers and devotees were also present.
