Karnal, November 4: The Prakash Utsav of the first Guru, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm by the students, teachers, and school management at Doon International School, Karnal. The entire school campus was filled with beautiful sentiments of Guru devotion and love for humanity, making the event purposeful.
The Guruparv program began with a powerful rendition of Shabad Gayan and Kirtan, performed with great devotion and love by the students of Doon International School. Following this, the students of Doon School presented speeches, poems, and Sakhis based on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, filling everyone present with beautiful sentiments of Guru devotion, spreading a meaningful message of truth, humility, equality, and service.
A grand Nagar Kirtan was also held symbolically in the school premises, in which students and teachers participated with devotion, showering flowers, and imbibing the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
In his address at the event, Kuljinder Mohan Singh Bath, Managing Director of The Doon School, quoted the sacred life and teachings of the first Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, stating that the great Guru's entire life was dedicated to humanism and monotheism, which remains fully relevant even in today's environment. The support of Swaranjeet Kaur, Ranjit Kaur, Rupinder Kaur, Preet Kaur, and Sandeep Kaur in this special Gurupurab celebration was commendable.
A large number of area residents and parents graced the occasion with their gracious presence and pledged to embrace the universal teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in their lives.
The program concluded with the distribution of Prasad, a symbol of unity, equality, and interfaith harmony. The entire event was filled with selfless service and devotion and an uninterrupted stream of devotion to the Guru flowed in the hearts of all present.
