Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, November 22:- Dedicated by the Punjab government to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and his nine devotees Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das and Bhai Dayala Ji, the vast Nagar Kirtan that started from Talwandi Sabo and reached Mohali, after the night stage, offered prayers and set off for Shri Anandpur Sahib this morning.
The devotees who came to the Nagar Kirtan, after the night stage on Friday at Gurdwara Singh Shaheed Sohana and Gurdwara Sri Amb Sahib, today took the umbrella of Guru Granth Sahib Ji and started for the next destination under the leadership of the Panj Pyares.
Shri Guru Granth Sahib was brought from the Sukh Asan Sthan to Palki Sahib with full devotion and dignity under the leadership of the Panj Pyares and Nishanchi Singhs. Apart from the large number of devotees present, Malwinder Singh Kang, Member of Lok Sabha from Shri Anandpur Sahib Parliamentary Constituency, Dr. Sunny Singh Ahluwalia, Chairman of Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Sarabjit Singh Samana (Councillor) son of MLA Kulwant Singh Mohali and Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Anmol Singh Dhaliwal, SDM Mohali Damandeep Kaur and other officials were present from the district administration.
Amidst the echoes of Bole So Nihal's chants, a different enthusiasm was also seen among the devotees who left for Shri Anandpur Sahib in the Nagar Kirtan. The devotees said that by organizing these events with the grace of Guru Sahib, they have also been made witnesses of these historical moments, for which the gratitude towards the grace and vision of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is not enough. He said that during the night rest in Mohali last night, the administrators of both the Gurdwaras (Gurdwara Singh Shaheed, Sohana and Gurdwara Sri Amb Sahib) and the district administration did not allow any problem at all.
MP Malwinder Singh Kang said on this occasion that the entire Punjab government and the Aam Aadmi Party under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann have become the object of the grace of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, who has got the opportunity to celebrate this 350th martyrdom day.
He said that the Sangat should participate in large numbers in the events organized by the government in the glory of Guru Sahib on the holy land of Shri Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to November 25.
He said that only a rare Sangat gets the honor of celebrating the centenaries of the Gurus and we are all grateful that we have got this opportunity. He said that the government has made proper arrangements for the immense Sangat who reached Shri Anandpur Sahib.
He said that for the first time in the history of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, a special session is being held at Shri Anandpur Sahib on November 24, keeping in mind the sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, dedicated to the protection of human rights.
Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal thanked the entire Sangat and said that the district administration is fortunate that we got the opportunity to contribute our til phul seva in the 350th martyrdom celebrations of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. Special thanks were expressed to the administrators of both the Gurdwaras who, in full cooperation with the district administration, made arrangements for the stay of the Sangat.
Later, the Nagar Kirtan reached Gurdwara Kartarsar Sahib, Padiala via the Airport Road via the Kharar Flyover, where the gathered Sangat welcomed them by showering flowers, offering Rumala Sahib and arranging langar. On this occasion, SDM Kharar Mrs. Divya P was also present specially to witness the Nagar Kirtan.
