Karnal, October 23: The birth anniversary of the first Guru of the Sikh sect, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, will be celebrated with great pomp at the Dera Kar Seva. On this occasion, the Guru Parv Prabandhak Committee, in collaboration with Dera Kar Seva chief Baba Sukha Singh, will organize a Nagar Kirtan and Gurmat Samagam.
This information was provided by Sardar Varinder Singh, President of the Guru Parv Prabandhak Committee, and Jathedar Inderpal Singh, General Secretary. They stated that a senior minister of the Central Government has been invited to the event. According to the program, the Nagar Kirtan will be held on November 3rd, and the Gurmat Samagam on November 5th.
They stated that the Nagar Kirtan will begin at 10:30 am on November 3rd from Gurdwara Dera Kar Seva and Gurdwara Manji Sahib (the first Guru). This Nagar Kirtan will reach Gurdwara Dera Kar Seva via Karna Gate, Committee Chowk, Daawat Hotel Road, Hospital Chowk, Kunjpura Road and Sabzi Mandi Road respectively. Gatka parties of Dashmesh Akhara and Veer Khalsa Dal will showcase their talent in the Nagar Kirtan.
A special band has also been called from outside for this occasion. After this, on November 5, Gurmat Samagam will be organised at Gurdwara Dera Kar Seva from 9 am in which Guru's Diwan will be decorated. Ragi-Dhadi Jatha and other Kirtankars will sing praises of Guru's glory. On this occasion, Aatoot Langar will also be arranged. Prominent kirtan singers participating in the Gurmat Samagam will include Bhai Harpal Singh (Hazuri Ragi Jatha, Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar), Bhai Gurpreet Singh (Paonta Sahib), Bhai Jasbir Singh of the Dhadi Jatha, Bhai Gulab Singh of Kirtan, Bhai Amritpal Singh, Head Granthi of Gurdwara Manji Sahib (Pahli Patshahi), Bhai Gurmej Singh of Kirtan, and Bhai Gursevak Singh (Hazuri Ragi, Gurdwara Model Town). All will sing the glories of the Guru.
He stated that preparations for the Guru Parv are in full swing and urged all Sangats to participate enthusiastically in these events. Gurpal Singh Doni, Harpreet Singh Narula, Harmeet Singh Happy, and Tejinder Singh Dimpy were present at the meeting regarding the event.
