Una, December 3. District Magistrate Jatin Lal has issued important orders to ensure orderly business activities in the markets of Una district, prevent encroachment, and strengthen law and order. Considering the increasing crowds during the business season, illegal temporary shops, and the potential impact on public order, the district administration has directed special vigilance.
The DC stated that it has been observed that many shopkeepers from other districts and states are renting shops and erecting temporary sheds and structures without prior permission. Monitoring them is essential. Such disorderly activities not only increase congestion and traffic obstructions, but also create disputes and security risks. He categorically stated that any activity that compromises public order and safety will not be tolerated.
The orders issued state that all shopkeepers coming from other districts and states to do business in Una will be thoroughly verified by the local police. All temporary sheds and structures erected without permission will be removed immediately. From now on, no outside shopkeeper will be able to rent a shop or install any temporary structure without prior written permission from the concerned SDM. Such permission will be granted only after police verification.
The Deputy Commissioner warned that strict action will be taken against those violating the orders under the relevant legal provisions. These orders have come into effect immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.
