Mahilpur, June 7- The 17th annual Jod Mela is being celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm on Monday, June 9 at the dargah of Baba Khwaja Peer ji in village Mahmadowal. In connection with the fair, the ceremony of hoisting the flag will be performed on Sunday, June 8 at 9 am. Along with this, the ceremony of floating the beda and offering the chadar will be performed at 4 pm.
A cultural program is being organized on Monday, June 9 from 10 am to 5 pm. Sufi artists Kanshi Nath, Jaili, Gurjeet Jeeti, Ali Gopalpuria, Qawwal Suraj Jhander and Niku Dhariwal will present religious and cultural programs in this fair.
Jasvir Shira Mela Promoter, Jassi Mugowalia Anchor, Avtar Anchor, Gurmeet Singh Jatpuri Journalist and Gupta Sound Saila Khurd will also perform their responsibilities. Cold sweet water Chhabil, tea pakodas and Guru ka Langar will continue uninterrupted. Siddh Jogi Trust Khanpur will organize a free medical camp under the able leadership of Dr. Jaswant Singh Thind by Dr. Prabh Heer's team. Water service will be provided by Milan Palace. Sukhwinder Singh Soni, people of Chandigarh will also provide special support. On the occasion of giving information about this program, Kamaljit Kaur Sarpanch, Gurwinder Singh Panch, Surjan Singh Panch, Kashmir Singh Panch, Rajveer Kaur Panch, Paramjit Kaur Panch, Gurwinder Khan Chowkidar, Tarsem Singh Lambardar, Harjinder Singh Billa, Amandeep Singh Deepa, Gurbakhsh Kaur, Balveer Kaur, Surjit Kaur, Mandeep Kaur, Aman, Ramandeep Kaur, Arshdeep Kaur, Kirandeep Kaur, all residents of village Mahmodowal Khurd and Gurjit Singh Sarpanch, Satnam Singh Panch, Darshan Lal Panch, Jasveer Kaur Panch, Sita Rani Panch, Sohan Baba Ji, Sevadar Surjit Singh Ji, Kashmir Singh Ji, Balveer Singh and residents of village Mahmodowal Kalan were present.
