Thanks to the Punjab Government for the Renovation of Kali Mata Temple But the Civil Administration Must Refrain from Playing Politics Inside Patiala City Brahmanand Giri

Patiala:- Today, on the date 22-05-2026, Sri Hindu Takht Chief Maha Mandaleshwar Brahma Nand Giri, while issuing a statement to the press among selected colleagues at a private venue, said that previous governments had overlooked the Kali Mata Temple for a long time. Whether the rulers belonged to Patiala city or outside Patiala, everyone had adopted a similar attitude towards the Kali Mata Temple. 
The current government has shown great seriousness regarding the renovation of the Kali Mata Temple, which is a good work being done. However, despite this, politics is being played inside the temple by the civil administration with a perspective to undermine the government.
Whereas, for the past 24-25 years inside the temple, the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa is being performed by Sri Hanuman Ram Seva Dal, a branch of Shiv Sena Hindustan, and after the prayers, their worship-related materials are kept inside the temple itself. Meanwhile, with the intention of imposing a ban on the recitation, the S.D.M. Patiala has even issued a notice to the organization. 
On the other hand, inside the temple corridor, several organizations have occupied rooms of the temple building for years, and money is collected inside the temple corridor in various illegal manners. Illegal encroachments have also been made on the newly constructed parking lot of the temple and the shoe-house building, but S.D.M. Patiala pays no attention to them. Pressurizing an organization that is purely propagating religion is highly unfortunate.
Furthermore, getting the tea-refreshment room of the priests working inside the temple vacated is also unfortunate. Moreover, keeping the temple sanctity in mind, the labor and masons working inside the temple are using shoes and slippers inside the Gauri Mata Temple premises, Hanuman Temple premises, and the entire temple. The stone elephants installed outside the Gauri Mata Temple have also been damaged, which is a result of the administration's negligence. 
The political leaders of the Punjab Government should rein in the high-handedness practiced by the administration; otherwise, it will be necessary to convene a meeting of all Hindu organizations of Patiala city in the coming days. The future strategy will be formulated after the meeting. Along with this, a press conference will be held with all the press clubs of Patiala.
