Lehragaga/Sangrur, September 06:- As part of the series of special events being organized across the state by the Punjab Government dedicated to the 650th Parkash Purab of Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, a grand show featuring 500 drones was held at Lehragaga. Hundreds of drones flying together in the night sky presented captivating visuals depicting the life, Gurbani, ideology, and great philosophy of Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, mesmerizing the present congregation.
Speaking on the occasion, Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal stated that the Gurbani and teachings of Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji show the path of equality, brotherhood, hard work, truthful living, and universal oneness for all humanity. Raising his voice against the caste system, inequality, and social discrimination, Guru Ji conveyed that the greatness of a person lies not in their birth or lineage, but in their noble deeds, high character, and dedication toward humanity.
Mr. Goyal highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government has allocated a budget of over Rs 100 crore for year-long celebrations dedicated to the 650th Parkash Purab of Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji. The main objective of these events is to convey the great thoughts and message of human welfare given by Guru Sahib to the younger generation through modern and impactful means.
He further mentioned that out of deep devotion and respect for the eternal teachings and divine message of Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, the Punjab Government is establishing the 'Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Bani Adhyayan Kendra' at Dera Sachkhand Ballan in Jalandhar. He informed that this center will be constructed on an area of 10.4 acres at a total cost of Rs 37 crore. Out of this, Rs 11 crore has been spent on land acquisition and Rs 60 lakh on necessary approvals, while the remaining construction expenditure will also be borne by the Punjab Government.
The Cabinet Minister shared that 92 special drone shows are being organized across the state by the Punjab Government. Through modern digital technology, this effort to vividly depict the life, Gurbani, and teachings of Guru Ji in the night sky aims to connect the youth with Guru Sahib's visionary ideology.
He stated that in addition to the drone shows, various religious, cultural, and educational programs including Kirtan Darbars under the guidance of saints and scholars, seminars in universities, school-level competitions, and screenings of documentary films on Guru Ji's life, Bani, and teachings are being conducted.
He informed that the drone show will be presented at Anaj Mandi Dhuri on September 7 and at Dirba Anaj Mandi on September 8, appealing to district residents to participate enthusiastically in these unique events.
Mr. Goyal emphasized that the philosophy of Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji is not limited to any single section or community, but is a universal message of equality, freedom, brotherhood, and harmony for all mankind. He added that incorporating Guru Ji's teachings into daily life, rather than restricting them to events alone, would be the true tribute to Guru Sahib, calling upon the gathering to strengthen feelings of love, respect, hard work, equality, and humanity.
On this occasion, SDM Rakesh Prakash, Nagar Council President Kanta Goyal, Cabinet Minister's wife Seema Goyal, son Gaurav Goyal, alongside a large number of local residents were present.
