Hansi, October 5 (Dinkar Gawri):- Superintendent of Police, Hansi, Vinod Kumar held a crime meeting with police officers of the district at his office and reviewed the law-and-order and crime-control situation. During the meeting, the Superintendent of Police issued necessary directions to strengthen security arrangements in the area and effectively control crime.

The Superintendent of Police directed officers to increase foot patrolling as well as the patrolling of riders and PCR vehicles in the area so that a sense of security is maintained among the general public and suspicious activities can be effectively monitored. He particularly emphasised increasing police presence in sensitive and crowded areas.

During the crime meeting, the Superintendent of Police directed officials to install as many CCTV cameras as possible on major roads and in sensitive areas of Hansi. He said CCTV cameras help in monitoring suspicious activities as well as providing important assistance in the investigation of criminal incidents. The concerned officers were directed to identify such locations and take necessary action to install cameras.

Action Against Vehicles Without Number Plates and Large Vehicles Parked Along Roads

The SP also issued clear directions regarding traffic arrangements. He said action should be taken as per rules against vehicles being driven without number plates. At the same time, necessary action should be taken against vehicles, particularly trucks and other heavy vehicles, that remain parked along roads for long periods, as such parking affects traffic movement and creates a risk of accidents.

The Superintendent of Police directed all station house officers and police post in-charges to check hotels, PGs and other important locations in their respective areas. They were instructed to keep a close watch on suspicious activities and take immediate action upon receiving information about any kind of criminal activity.

SP Vinod Kumar directed officers to take effective action against drug trafficking and illegal activities and said continuous action should be taken against drug traffickers. He also directed that active and hardcore criminals in the area be kept under special surveillance and that information about their activities be continuously gathered.

He directed officers to ensure effective policing in their respective areas for the prevention of crime and to take immediate action whenever any criminal activity comes to light.

The Superintendent of Police said that crime control, action against drugs, effective patrolling and the safety of the general public are the priorities of the police. All officers should regularly review patrolling and surveillance arrangements in their respective areas and work in coordination to prevent crime.

DSP Vinod Shankar, DSP Ravindra Sangwan, DSP Dinesh Kumar, DSP Narnaud Devendra Nain, all station house officers, police post in-charges, all unit in-charges and other police officers and personnel were present at the crime meeting.
