Garhshankar:- The second day of the state-level function organized by the Punjab Government at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib on the occasion of the 649th holy Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji was filled with utmost devotion, religious pride and spiritual atmosphere. On this occasion, a large number of devotees attended the holy path of Sri Akhand Sahib Ji held at Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Memorial, Sri Khuralgarh Sahib and prayed for the welfare, happiness and brotherhood of all humanity.
This grand function will continue till February 6, when the Bhog of Sri Akhand Sahib Ji will be performed. On the last day of the function, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will also bow down at the feet of the Guru and pray for the progress, peace and harmony of the state. On this occasion, Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha, MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and Chairman Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Dr. Jasvir Singh Garhi bowed down with devotion at the feet of Guru Ji and prayed for the prosperity of the state and the country.
The Deputy Speaker said that the life of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji shows the society the path of equality, brotherhood and social justice. MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that the message of Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji is to rise above caste, discrimination and class and serve humanity. He said that in the year 2027, the 650th Parkash Purb of Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji will be celebrated on a historic and grand scale.
The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has started a series of year-long celebrations from February 4 on the occasion of the 649th Parkash Purb. SC Commission Chairman Dr. Jasvir Singh Garhi said that Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji, through his thoughts and actions, raised his voice against the evils prevalent in the society and laid the foundation of an equality-based society.
