Garhshankar/Hoshiarpur, February 3: All preparations have been completed for the state-level congregation to be held at Shri Khuralgarh Sahib, Garhshankar, from February 4 to 6 on the occasion of the Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj. Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Ashika Jain today visited Shri Khuralgarh Sahib and took a detailed review of the preparations for the program with officials from various departments and reviewed the arrangements. Director of the Tourism Department, Sanjeev Tiwari, was also specially present on this occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that the recitation of Shri Akhand Sahib Ji will begin at Shri Khuralgarh Sahib on the morning of February 4, while the concluding prayers will be offered on February 6. She said that on February 6, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will specially attend the congregation and pay his respects at the Guru's feet. In addition, cabinet ministers, MPs, MLAs, and other dignitaries from the state will also be present at the three-day state-level program to pay their respects.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the convenience and safety of the devotees is the administration's top priority. She instructed the officials to ensure proper arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, electricity supply, toilets, health services, traffic, and parking. Instructions were also given to ensure adequate arrangements for medical camps, ambulance services, and fire safety.
She said that sufficient police force should be deployed for crowd management, barricading, and CCTV camera surveillance should be ensured so that devotees do not face any inconvenience and the program can be conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner. On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Vikas Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Jyoti Bala, SDM Mukerian Oishi Mandal, SDM Garhshankar Sanjeev Kumar, SDM Dasuya Kanwaljit Singh, SDM Tanda Lovepreet Singh, Assistant Commissioner Paramjit Singh, RTO Amandeep Kaur, SP Navneet Kaur, SP Manpreet Shimar, SP Major Singh, DSP Daljit Singh Khakh, and officers from various departments were present.
